Because he "loves" you. I'm not passing judgement, but at 14/15 love is not really established yet. He's still learning and so are you! He may just be thinking this is the best relationship he's had as of yet, which it may well be, but he's got a lot of time. If he can't wait a week to talk to you, then just ignore him until the week is up. He'll most likely drop it after a couple days, just don't answer the texts.

Because you're sending him mixed signals. One hand is waving bye-bye but the other hand is telling him you love him very much. Which is he to believe?? He thinks if he keeps on after you, you will put aside your personal reasons & take him back. If you want it over, tell him you no longer love him, you don't wish any contact with him, & then block his # from your phone somehow so he can't send you anymore messages. Once you give him a clear message - not mixed signals - he should give up on you & your love. Are you really really sure you want to push away someone you love very much? How often does someone like that come into your life? Do you think you'll find someone else in a matter of time? Be very careful here - if you wind up going back to him, begging - then be prepared if he pushes you away, just like you are pushing him away now . . .

How old are you? Immaturity is his reason for not being able to wait. You say you are in love, but you are so young(if your the same age as this boy). You have all your life to fall in love, so why so soon? I have a daughter who is the same age as this young man, and yes she likes boys, but I am very thankful that she chooses to get to her schoolwork first. You should worry about school first, then boys. Your future depends on how well you do in school. Just think about your future before you get wrapped up with him.

He feels like 1 week is too long. Sounds like he didn't want the break up to occur.

This question is stupid. Wait a week? What the hell difference does a week make?

if my boyfriend asked me to leave him alone for a week, i wouldn't last an hour! some people cant stand the fact of leaving the people they love... oh well it depends on how long you guys have been seeing each other... but if you really want him to leave you alone... tell him if he doesnt respect your desition your gona ask him to leave you alone for much longer than just a week.

Because he is a little boy --- and you a little girl --- you need more than a week --- how about 6 years -- to grow up!

He is 14 years of age. Just tell the boy why you do not want to be with him. What difference is one week going to make? Are you going to get back with him?
Come onnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
