We like each other and I told her I like her about 2months ago and I had to talk to her parent to go out with her. Her parent likes me but her mother told me she need to focus on ACT. Her ACT is over so I want to ask her parent so I can go out with her. But I don't know how to ask and what to say to them.

Kudos for finding a family concerned for the quality of the person with whom the daughter is socially/romantically involved.

I use the term "dating" to describe the keeping of appointments with each other; NOT as it is often (imho, wrongly) used to describe behavior characterized by premarital/extramarital sex.

I'm not judging people that engage in premarital/extramarital sex; however, calling that "dating" effectively slanders people whose behavior in the keeping of appointments with each other during courtship is more chaste.

1) Decide what you want from the relationship.
2) Articulate that as the goal.

You don't seem like you only want in her pants, but if that's honestly how you feel, you should own it.

You likely don't know whether you want it to lead to marriage between you and the girl, but if you intend the dating to help you each to determine whether you want to share with each other the remainders of your respective natural lives, acknowledge that.

If that is your intent, you need to be able to express how the dating ritual is reasonably calculated to enable you both to arrive at that conclusion.

If you just enjoy her company and would like to spend more time with her as a friend, reveal that. Of course, if you realize sometime later that your motive has changed or evolved, you need to make sure everyone involved has the up-to-date information.

It seems the mother is already an advocate for you. Just be honest with her, and if your intent is noble/honorable, the words will come naturally.

Go to her house and ask to talk to her parents alone (or call). Then tell them that the ACT is over you really like her and will not misteat her. Then ask if it would be okay if you went out with her.

Sounds like the mom is a little protective, so I would think after she got her scores back would be a good time. You can break the ice by commenting how well she did, and how she deserves some fun time.

You don't need to ask her parent's permission to ask this girl out, unless it's important to the girl that you do so. If you're 16 or older just ask HER, not THEM...
