For private work, expect a basic rate around £45 (45 Pounds) per hour if the RDH is freelancing; about £125 (125 Pounds) per hour (basic rate) if the work is done by a stand-alone service.

The rate can be significantly higher if you have certain problems.

last time I went it was about £35, even NHS dentists practices in London tend to have private hygienists. although now you can have an NHS clean at the same time as your check-up which isn't as thorough as a full hygienist one, but is a bargain.

Around £50 I would think. My dentist in Essex charges £40 so I would think it would be that bit more expensive in London.
