courtship is a period of learning and trying to see if you can live the rest of your life with the other person, if you can condone most things he/she does then you are on your way. It is a time marked to check your tolerance and patience level. I think why most courtships fail is because either partner expects too much from the other. remember we are all human and have our shortcomings. the abilty to live with these and still love the other person in spite of this is what makes marriage successful.
Hhmmmm.... knowing one's future partner is purely by prayer.
i think when the person is meant for you, you have peace of mind and secondly you are not shy to discuss anything with the person and feel as if you have known the person for donkey years, you feel very free and open minded.

Courtship is a period which gives both parties the opportunity to see how compatible they are. How much do they see eye to eye.
Do they share the same values and goals?
When these questions aren't answered during courtship, it might fail to altar.
Secondly, courtship doesn't go to the desired end because a partner perhaps was expecting too much than s/he got or too hasty to make things happen. Moreover, people who don't realize that humans are imperfect and the closer you come to somebody the more you see weak points and undesired traits are susceptible to abandon before it matures.
