Magnificent Obsession by Lloyd C. Douglas is a novel, novel, that is subtly spiritual. It is very specific and yet, leaves a lot to your own development.

Well apart from the Bible, there have been many that have influenced my life since I became a Christian. The first Christian Book I read was "The Cross and the Switchblade" by David Wilkerson, "Run Baby Run" by Nicky Cruz, "Late Great Planet Earth and the Liberation of Planet Earth" by Hal Lindsay. Also "From Witchcraft To Christ" but I can't remember the author's name, but I know it was a Female Author and it was her own Testamony. They're have been a great many, but the first 2 really had an influence on my life, because I could see myself within the pages of the book. God Bless You.

I've been a Christian now for over 60 years, and mostly the biographies of men and women like George Meuler, Hudson Taylor have been the most influential. One outstanding book I read over 40 years ago was "The Christian Secret of a Happy life" by Hannah Whitehall Smith. Excellent book on developing a spiritual relationship with God.

I like the Prayer of Jabez book (I don't remember the author) and the author has a series of books similar that follow, The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren and Your Best Life Now by Joel Osteen...I also like any book by Max Lucado.

This is one of my favorites: a very old book, The Greatest Thing In the World. by:Henry Drummond the book is based on 1 Corinthians 13. If you ever have the opportunity to read it i suggest that you do, very moving and inspirational book.
Another one would be It Had To Be A Monday by: Jill Briscoe
and
Awakening your Passion Heart and Soul by: Gary Morsch, M.D., & Dean Nelson, PH.D. I have read many, however these are the ones that stick out in my mind. God bless

The course in miracles Is the most profound Book I personally have ever read.
I have nearly a thousand books on spirituality, religion, philosophy and physics on my shelves.
The vast majority have been read only once, or only partially.
I have worn out 1 hardcover copy of the course and my second is getting pretty worn. You can read my review of it on amazon. It is usually the first one below the description of the book.
It has changed my life for the better in ways that I never even imagined were possible.
love and blessings Don
