There are also many Christians that practically openly admit that they will 'not hinder' the prophecies by possibly helping them out. Many religious leaders work with government leaders so its not too hard to see.
It has been known for quite sometime. Why does King Aurthur need Merlin the magician??? Pharaoh has the priests, |Kings need their prophets, Beast needs his False prophet. Its all 'winning the hearts and minds' of the people.
Hal Lindsay friend of George Bush senior. Billy Graham friends of the Bushes
It has always been going on in many religous nations
EDIT:
You have not been alone on this one for many many many centuries.

No, I don't think anyone would manage to do such a thing. The only true prophesies come from people who are very close to God, I mean Spiritually. If you are a Born-Again-Christian, as I am, I would never attempt to do anything that would affect my relationship with Jesus Christ.
However, you will get the fanatics who make up there own cults and preach that they are sent by God, to do a certain mission, surprisingly enough, they do attract some followers. This is very dangerous, because we've been warned in the Bible about thhe Powers of Darkness, and how we can be aware of this in our lives as well as defend ourselves against such evil and deceptive people.
You only have to put your trust in Christ and the Holy Spirit will give you the wisdom and understanding you need to determine what is right and what is wrong. I think there are politicians who are deluded and twist the parts of the Bible, to their own personal advantage. Put your trust in Christ and you will soon know what is right and what is wrong. Prayer is our mighty weapon. Also the Devil is mighty, but God is Almighty. God Bless You! X

I wonder too, wonder when the "agreeing to disagree" comes into play. And the firing will cease so we may make amends. The prophecies, like most things God told us, we believe when it's too late, but not the faithful. The faithful & loving followers of God know that love is a temple, a higher law, and ALL will become uncovered on His timing, not ours, altho I am getting a li'l impatient myself. I have the deepest sympathies for the innocence being trapped & hunted in the literal crossfire of these heinous wars. All we can do is pray.:o]

When you have people in power they always want to be remembered even if the "prophesies" aren't about them if they can direct their political views and accomplishments toward it they can pretty much make it spin the way that works best for them. They live by the adage that bad press is still press.

That is exactly what's going on, but don't think for a minute that the "big boys" believe any of that religious angle. They are into self fullfilling prophesies for very selfish reasons, and they are using the rest of us as pawns in their nasty game.

Indubitably... yes.
Organised religion is mind-control... there are no two ways about it. Those in power over a religious organisation, whether they believe it or not, will typically do just about anything to stay in that position and gain more followers.... to try and portray their way of things as "right"... They will reshape things as they see fit, or at least as much as they believe they can get away with...
... And yes, they will certainly fake "prophecies" if they believe they can get away with it, and it will bring them more power / control / followers / belief.
Its safe to say that at least 99% of all the "fulfilled prophecies" that have ever happened in the history of the world have been coincidence and / or staged bullsh!t.

Yes i do. and the bible says so as well regarding governments being part of prophecy. As you know the bible says the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. So Satan is the so called god of this world and he is in charge of the governments.
As far as a nation being the right one, no,

If you are talking about the Bible, then you are wrong. Only God can fulfil prophecies and not man. Most leaders out there (and most people) do not believe in the God of the Bible ,but will still say they are Christians. The Bible says about them: 'Having a form of godliness, but denying the truth'.

Hi Pangel! As frightening as it is, I think it's very possible that 'certain' groups and individuals would do this. There are some who will do ANYTHING to stay in power.

There is no doubt Jesus did it. From the beginning of his ministry to his resurrection, he was acting out the old testament's prophesies.
