In Thailand, most every home has such a pagoda on a post in their yard. The purpose is to keep the bad sprints away and welcome the good ones.

Spirit houses, I found these 2 websites and it appears you can order one and have it shipped.

The first one has a US phone number, not sure where it is located.

they are called "spirit houses." Why don't you come to Thailand and buy one here? Seriously, it's a great place to take a holiday!
