I met this guy in '94 and six months later we lost contact. He sought me out this year in April, and I was happy to see him again, he has told me he is engaged to be married to someone else and at the same time has told me he still loves me. He loves to visit me and stay over sometimes but we don't mess up(hope you understand) I am still in love with him and am wondering; will this work? am also confused:why was he looking for me for all these years only to find me and tell me he is engaged to someone else? your candid opinion pls.

u knew each other for juz 6 months n lost contact for more than 10 years.... u really think its love? i mean y now then he start to look u up? didn't he think if u when he got engaged? i'll be excited of course if i am in ur situation, but this thing will not work out definitely.. he belongs to someone else now... don't develop intimate feelings with him cos u r at the losing end here....

He could of told you in hopes that you loved him still. so that he didn't get married to some who he only thinks he is in love with.
Or it could of been his way of letting go.
Ask him tell him how you feel and that if he loves this other women then you give your blessing and that it would be best to not see each other anymore.
And if he says he in fact doesn't love this women then tell him that you are there for him.

oooooo How strange. maybe he felt you were his first love + he has been unable to get you out of his head and when he got engaged he thought i have to find this girl just to make sure its over so i can move on and get married. sounds like he hasn't though so i'd make him choose, you or the wife to be, its harsh but only way it'll work unless someone or everyone will get hurt.

i think you should find out whether he really wants to go ahead with this marriage. people break of engagements. maybe he thinks he needs to find out if he is ready to commit to this marriage ... ie. he maybe getting cold feet so wants to find out if he still has feelings for u .... i would ask him bluntly what he wants from you. its best for you to know where you stand.
