jesus is a messenger from god, so why do "some" say he's the son of god?

First of all it was prophesied time and time again in the Old Testament that a Messiah was coming (Jer 23:5-8; Dn 9:25-26). Jesus fullfilled these propesies perfectly.
Second Jesus states that He is God (John 10:30, 14:9-10). Jesus never deceived anyone.
Thirdly, because He proved His divinity by His impeccable holiness and the flawless perfection of His doctrine.
Fourthly, because only God could have performed the miracles He performed; miracles such as walking on the sea, feeding five thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish, and, after His death on the Cross, resurrecting Himself from His own tomb.
Fifthly, because only God could have, in the brief space of three years, without military conquest, without political power, without writing a single line or traveling more than a few score miles, so profoundly affected the course of human events.
Matt. 1:23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means 'God is with us.'"

Jesus is God's first born or created angel. Nothing is imposible for God to do, so dont get discurraged. He was called son of God but that is only an expression. Christians like to take it literally. Every human is a son of God. David is called a son of God in the Psalms (cant recall the ch. and verse, look up "my" and "son" in Psalms and you should find it).

He is called that because he is the son of God. Its not just "some" that say it, its everyone one that believes in and has faith in the Christian religion. Go to church on Christmas eve and Easter Sunday, all will be explained.
