why doesn't god step in and help them. Please don't tell me god can cure the sick, but can't enlighten people who can't make enough money or know what to do with their money. If he could turn 1 fish and 1 loaf of bread into enough food to feed the masses, then according to teachings anything is possible. Everybody keeps saying free will as an answer to some questions.
Please don't use this out of convenience. It's a simple question which requires a relevant answer. Thanks. Have a great day!

I see a response that says you should ask and receive. plenty ask and don't receive.
help others, that's doesn't answer the question
It's a direct question, but no answers that address what I asked

no where in my question states anyone is asking for a million dollars, just self sufficiency.
Simple question which deserves a direct answer. why does god allow people to suffer when he can help them. very simple question.

Who said God heals the sick? If God heals the sick He heals them so that He may be glorified. If He prospers a person, He does so because He will be glorified. God is to be glorified on this earth, and that is what God wants. Jesus did all those awesome miracles during his earthly ministry to glorify the Father. In the gospel of John we read that a man was born blind. And they asked Jesus why he was blind. Who sinned his parents or the blind man? Jesus said the reason he was born blind was so that God would be glorified by the Son through his healing of the blind man's vision. It is all for the glory of God. Read the book of Job. God allowed Job to be tested because God knew Job would glorify Him by not cursing God no matter what horrible catastrophe happened to Job.
You need to change your perspective. God is to be glorified and praised and honored and worshiped for being God the creator and life giver. And when someone says how can God allow suffering in the world, we must remember that we are responsible for what we do as God's creation. God didn't come down from heaven and point a gun at Adolf Hitler's head and tell him to do those horrible things. Hitler is responsible for what he did. We likewise are also responsible for what we do.

I believe that WE need to live our lives as productively as possible and that WE need to be responsible for the decisions we make (particularly financial)....I can't see how it is HIS responsibility to ensure we have enough in our pocket to pay our bills, buy the groceries and still have enough left over to buy that unnecessary MAC lipstick.....or to pay off a credit card that someone maxed out and now find the banks chasing them through the courts to get back.
HE provides us with many blessings, sometimes they may be spiritual, sometimes they may be with our health....other times they may be opening a door or an event that gives us direction toward a better style of life.....its all up to individual interpretation.
Theres a saying that God helps those that help themselves....
*Edit: Perhaps the biggest question is WHY SHOULD HE?? Us mortals are bloody horrible, we *****, backstab, steal, rape, murder, are greedy, selfish, self-obsessed, we ravage and disrespect the very earth that sustains us, we engage in wars for financial gain, we abuse and discriminate.......and again WHY SHOULD HE?

God doesn't step in and take care of everything. God wants humans to try and take care of themselves by hard work and wise decisions. Then he meets those halfway and helps provide. The key is believing He can, and working for it as well.

Its like this....You have to have RESPONSIBILTY. I am a Christian and i suffer financially sometimes but He does supply all my needs. If having a million dollars is going to change who I am then keep it. God is not going to give me something I cant handle. He obviously thinks I cant handle a million dollars and/or it will hender my relationship with Him...and that i am grateful for.

Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Maybe God has tried to help, but they have refused his help. We can't see the hearts of these people, only God can. God always knows what is best.

He does step in, advice is everywhere, taking it is up to you.
(*note~ the advice comes from other human's minds not from an god.)
Happy, successful people love to help others, but they know they can't do it for them.

Perhaps you should dismiss the idea that there are any gods. Works for me

Materialism is the antithesis of Godliness not the focus of it. The idea is to lose materialist desires in order to grow spiritually.
