My fiancee's cat just barfed on the floor and then ate it. Is this a serious problem?

lol...im guessing uve never had a dog either. that is common behavior for a dog, but ive never seen a cat do it. more than likely she is ok is she ate it again.

No. It is gross, but it is an instinct on the cat's part to hide the evidence of it's existence while in the wild. Like when it buries it's feces after elimination.

Yeah, that's not a problem at all. My cats do it too. It may look really gross, but it's just what some cats do.

no he or she just pigged out and then decided she had the room for more once she let loose...very common in cats

Nope, very normal. He probably had a hair ball. Brush him more and/or give him hairball medicine.

if it does it all day or more then three times
it might of just got sick from eating something nothing seriuos
just give him lots of water
and if he does it again you might want to keep him from eating it
he might throw up again from eating it!
