"No Pain - No Gain"

DOMS (Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness) is very common to experience the day after a proper workout. Don't worry about it, just don't try to excercise that muscle group again until the soreness goes away. (Rotate your workout routine.)

Among other things, make sure you are drinking plenty of water. When you exercise you cause tiny injuries to your muscle tissue. But not to worry, those little injuries are what cause muscle growth, the body repairs the injuries using protein and water. The other thing to do is make sure you stretch the muscle group that you are working out that day, both before and after the workout, and then again the next morning when you get up. Stretch just to the point where the muscle starts hurting and hold that stretch for 30 to 60 seconds. Just as taking a deep breath gets air into your lungs, stretching helps get water into the muscle tissue.

Drinking a simple carb source right after you workout will also help decrease the soreness. If you are taking a creatine mix right after your workout, then that has the right amount of carbs.

Vitamin C is also helpful in counteracting DOMS. Aspirin can help release Vitamin C, but shouldn't be taken at the same time. So take the aspirin before your workout and the Vitamin C right after the workout.

I love that pain. It means I did a good workout. Read the guy above, he goes into detail about the causes of the pain.

It is normal. Do proteins within 45 mins. after your workouts, drink plenty of water to hydrate muscles and L-Glutamine also helps in keeping the lactic acids from effecting the muscles.

Are your muscles sore or painful? To build muscle you have to break the muscle down. When the muscle rebuilds, you gain strength and muscle. The pain is due to the tiny tears in your muscles fibers. Some mild soreness is normal. If you are in pain you may have injured yourself.

you must rip the muscles for them to rebuild, and rebuild bigger. just don't work the same muscle group 2 days in a row, alternate.

Pain and soreness are different things. If you are in pain then you need to go see a doctor. If you are sore then you are fine.

You just aren't used yet or you strained your muscles by lifting heavier weights.
