I think it's funny that when you say "home mail box" people automatically assume you mean your email in-folder.

Anyway...put up a sign on your mailbox that says "no flyers please" or "no unsolicited mail". Then if you get the mail you can feel free to call up the company and let them know that you no longer wish to receive their mail. They'll let their distributor know that you don't want it at your house and that should take care of it. However, if these ads come in your newspaper, you can't do much about that, if you're a subscriber.

there is a website that you can go to that will let you opt out of credit card mailings and all sorts of junk mail...you can pick a 5 year option or a forever option. I forget the exact web address, but if you do a yahoo search for "stop the junk mail" you will find it. It only takes a couple of minutes to fill out the info...address etc. and then it will take about a month or two for the junk to stop arriving! I did it, and it is great.

I take all the mail that has "business reply mail" envelopes and put all the junk mail in them including the old envelope and mail it back to them. Some stuff will come anyway, because they send it to everyone. You can't stop all of it.

Stop filling out surveys on the 'net, for one thing. Send all mail back, marked "Return to Sender". If anyone calls and asks for you or another member of the house, ask who is calling, before saying "yes". If you just say "no" at first, they'll call again and again and start sending junk mail. If they keep calling, tell them you'll sue them. They usually stop after that.

I don't know how to stop it, but if you use a Yahoo mailbox, you can make a "spam" mailbox and all those messages will go there and you can delete them once a day or so. On Monday mornings, I usually have about 150 junk emails. And if one of those junk emails does get into your regular inbox, you can mark it as spam and yahoo won't let it go through again.

unsubscribe to each of them (this option is generally at the bottom of each email) otherwise try and find the option to automatically send them all to your junk mail and delete them all in one swoop (don't know who you're with so can't direct you), or try to email you IPS to remove it for you.
