Absolutely - I always try to back up my answers with the sword of the spirit and the Word of God. Study and know your word.
2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Dont fight flesh, using your own strength, but fight by the Spirit
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Throughout the scriptures, Satan is revealed as the enemy of souls. He is first seen in Gensis as trying to convince Eve to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Satan is now doing this to man's mind still. We can see it in the wars, murders, homosexually, child abuse, mental illness, drug addiction, etc. in our world today. Scriptures say that their are two forces in this world good and evil. God either controls your mind or Satan. But, man has to make a choice of who he is going to listen to. It is man's choice. For God does not force. Your mind tells you what is right and what is wrong and you have to make a choice. Temptation will come into your mind but it is your choice to do good or evil. Yes, Satan does twist your thoughts but you have a choice of the action you take.

the bible says that the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. he is the author of confusion. i battled severely with negative/confusing thoughts everyday. God delivered me of this. be sure that you are spending lots of time in worship. what goes in your head is what comes out, so spend time in the word. there is a great book out there that helped me a lot by Joyce Meyer called "Battlefield of the Mind". get it and the workbook and fill your head with Jesus, not the enemy. take every thought captive and submit it to God. if it is anything other than a "God-thought" cast it away! Satan's favorite playground is the human mind. he can't read it, but he CAN put thoughts there. it's up to you what you do with them
God bless, and keep fighting.

If you are referring to the embodiment of evil in the figure of Satan, no, he does not twist your thoughts. Satan doesn't have the power to know what you are thinking. Check out his history and you find that he is not omnipresent, omniscient or omnipotent. He can only place things in your path that have caused trouble in the past but he doesn't know what you are thinking. Most of us create our own trouble without having to have outside help. That is one of the reasons it is important to speak postive things and not speak negative things. Speaking the negative only gives it power and gets the idea out there into existence.

He is always trying to twist our thoughts or give us some of his thoughts to turn us from God.

only if you let him. avoid foods like deviled eggs, deviled ham and devil's food cake. never have a 'devil may care' attitude. do not root for the Devil Rays (they're bad anyway). Don't listen to "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". And above all, don't give candy to devils on Halloween!

No. I take full responsibility for any "evil" thoughts I have. I know they come from me; I don't try to shunt the responsibility onto a mythological entity.
