My wife is a legal immigrant and had to go through months of background checks, trips to the embassy, etc. just to get here and she was getting married, not looking for a work visa or anything. She greatly resents that illegals are trying to circumvent the system. The system isn't designed to keep anyone out (except for quotas, which means we don't take in people that we can't care for). It's there to control entry.
For brown latinos (poster from above), what makes you think that an illegal is ENTITLED to enter my country and use it as their own without permission? I can't go to another country in the world and demand they provide for me, so why do you the the U.S. should be different? Would you let me move into your house without permission? Even if I had a job and could support myself, you would want me forcing my way into your home without your consent.
Go home and come back legally.

I know quite a few legal immigrants, who are angry with the illegal tresspassers (they are not immigrants, Illegals, I mean) because they are causing the legal immigrants to get picked on, as some American's treat the legals badly sometimes, and get nasty looks from America citizens who assume they might be illegal, mostly in the hispanic race, as theyre the ones giving America a hard time, and were tired of paying for their free medical care, free schooling, and welfare. Of course dont just dont give a load and welcome their illegal brothers over here, and think they have a right to be here. Well, that just aint so, theyre criminals, and tresspassers.

I am a legal immigrant from the U.S. to Brazil. I am in favor of legal immigration. I am married, also. If my wife wanted to come to live in the U.S., she and I would only do it legally. We have always had regulations and always will about immigration. The U.S.A. is a land of opportunity. The regulations should be respected. They exist for a reason, just like rules in a classroom. Illegal immigrants give legal immigrants a bad name and a black eye because no one knows who is real and who isn't.
Why don't they respect the rights of all? It's a corrupt world and it's more and more difficult to differentiate the legal from illegal. A crack down with technology could help to differentiate... it's just like counterfeiting money. There are more ways to combat counterfeiting to help identify the false currency. The same should be applied to immigration and any other legal process.

From what I have heard, they don't like illegal immigrants. There are legal immigrants who waited years and went through the whole process to be able to come here legally, and illegally immigrants just took the easy route.

For quickwith and that other moron who says we should just deal with it.... lets see, you claim that we know nothing well how much do you know about what we go though as Americans. We work also. How about this: all " illegal " immigrants have to do 2 years active duty military. If you claim this country should be yours then you should do what needs to be done to protect it as well. Our young men and women, fight and die for freedoms that you claim belong to you: they very well may but in your own country. Lots not all, but lots of illegals come here and create all kinds of havoc. It makes it bad for the people who do things the legal way. It makes it harder for those people and they go through hell because of what so jack-a@* illegal wants to circumvent. Then when you get over here, all we hear is how bad America is. Anyone who wants to leave i will personally pay your one way no return ticket. ALL legal immigrants in the country should be pissed with you and should turn you in immediately! If you hate this country so much STOP COMMING HERE !!! STOP THE MADNESS..

I worked with legal immigrants and they are more vehement about this issue than most Americans. They worked and waited and played by the rules to become a citizen and are very upset by the extra scrutiny paid to immigrants because of all those that try to cheat the system.

My father, a legal immigrant from Italy, came to America in 1949. His father came through Ellis Island 1936. Both learned to speak English and learned the American Customs at the time. Constitution, Pledge of Allegience amongst others. My Dad for the life of him can't understand y there is no way for immigrants to come to the United States the legal way he did. And he is purty peturbed about the way our culture is not repsected. If you come to America you should embrace American culture. I think its hypocritical to come here and dishonor our flag, our language, our holidays when they can be embraced and blended with your own holidays, and respect our religions because everyone is unique in what they believe, wherever you may come from. Its called a melting pot for reason - so that our nationalities can be melded together NOT TORN APART. Its a shame really! God Bless

I think illegal ones will ask for lower pay which makes the legal ones to suffer because they wanted to go legal to the US and they paid lots of money to go there and finally they find that there is no enough jobs around them.
