My ex and i broke up last summer when he left to go to Iraq for a year. He just got back into town, and he called me last night. He wants to come over to my house with some of his friends in his unit. I don't know what to do, or how to tell him i wanna be with him. I can't stand being away from him and he always makes me smile. I just need the comfort of a relationship, because I just love being held and that's all we did when we were together he held me and we talked...I just don't know what to do.

Well if he phoned you, that probably means he still cares right? But do you need him, or do you need a relationship. There's a difference. If you think he's really that important in your life, then tell him exactly what you said in your question. And ask if he's happy now, or if he missed the relationship.

Just be friendly to him, realise that his tour of duty will have changed him in ways you cannot imagine, he will have seen sights that you cannot even imagine.
You are probably only remembering the good things in your relationship and none of the bad things, and now he will have changed due to what he has seen.
Just be friendly and when he arrives or leaves give him a kiss on the cheek that way he will know but the next move will be up to him.

Tell him directly that you still have feelings for him and you hope you feels the same way, but if he doesn't you will respect that and would like to remain friends. That way he won't feel put on the spot so much and he won't be so scared of rejecting you, so you're likely to get an honest answer. It's good he wants to see you - you might well find he feels the same way. I hope so.

Well if you felt that way why did you brake up with him in the frist place? I feel that you should let him know by just simply telling him , Because it seems like he loves you to !! Dont let something good like that good!! you will regert it in the end!! GO GET YAH MAN GURL

You need to ask him without exposing yourself too much. Just enough to get your answer. Remember.. dont ever tell him how you feel cos he will feel that he has control over you..
