I'd like to lighten my 8 year old daughters hair. Is it safe for children to get their hair coloured?

*For those asking why I'd want to... I just wanted to lighten it slightly because she has medium to light brown hair with natural golden pigment that I wanted to bring out more.. so the one who posted about highlights, I think that's what I wanted. Thanks!*

the only thing that isn't right is an 8 year old with a root line showing.I would use lemon juice and water spray it on her hair and go out in the sunlight fora bit that will lighten it naturally.

Yes it's safe, however with little girls there hormones change so rapidly that you cannot guarantee the results until after they start to menstruate. I will Say from experience that it usually turns out just fine!

No its not safe to get there hair colored cuase there hair is not stron enough for it yet. If you do you would have to take her to a professional to get it done every 2 weeks so her hair will not get broken off

remember that children have Virgin hair and you can actually damage the growth of their hair by coloring it. you can also dry it out and hurt the scalp of a child. if you want to color a childs hair then high light it first. see if that is what you want to do.
