As the UK supports Israel both directly and through its allegiance with the US, there is genuine concern for oppression, the like of which has not been carried out by a (so called) western country since 1945.
The vast majority of British Jews support Israel so anti-semitism is a possible consequence of Israeli behaviour, not the reason for Palestinian sympathy.

My grandmother on my Mum's side was Jewish. I am now married to a muslim man. I don't hate jews. I dislike the zionists in the Whitehouse beacause of their influence over the stupid idiot who runs that country and because I can't have a discussion with someone about the middle east situation without being told I am an anti semite.

Governments are too scared to say anything about jews because they would immediately be accused of anti-semitism. The jews in palestine get away with what they do because of this and they know it.

No it isn't. Many Jewish commentators (including Melanie Phillips) confuse a dislike of Israels US-style imperialism with anti-semitism. Any criticism of the Israeli regime is turned into a 'typical anti-jewish rant'.
