Why? Was he your niece's boyfriend first?

Your BF must be as old as your niece then in that case lol. Otherwise your niece doesn't have the right to hate you at all. Or maybe your niece is somewhat uncomfortable seeing the gap between you and your BF -- like you're almost your BF's mother. That's definitely not so good to see. If not, then there's nothing wrong with your relationship but there's something wrong with your niece.

Thats your niece's problem, not yours....If you like this guy and the relationship is good...Stay together and enjoy it...You niece is just being a jealous brat and has to keep her nose out of your business...If you worry about what everyone thinks then yo might as well sit in a closet,order take out and have it delivered...You have control of your life not your niece.So tell her to but out and find her own boyfriend..But do it nicely,you don't want to get into a big thing over it...

I know you probably love your boyfriend and you love your niece as well and you don't like the fact that they don't see eye to eye. If your niece is old enough to understand, let her know how much you love him and that it'll make you so happy if she could only give him a chance.. Unless your boyfriend is your niece's age and she genuinely feels you shouldn't be with him, you should tell her that that's where you found your love and you would want her to simply understand that.

Ask your niece why she hates you. Is she also in love with your bf? If so, and if your bf also loves you only and if his age gap is just 2-4, ignore her.
