It depends exactly what you want. I'd recommend spending a couple of nights in Bangkok first - there are all sorts of things to do, and some wonderful restaurants and hotels so it can be as romantic and relaxing as you want. The Metropolitan Hotel is great, with a fantastic bar, amazing spa and great restaurant. The rooms are pretty fab too. Otherwise, look at the Banyan Tree or the Sukhothai which are right next door and also very nice indeed.

Take a look at this website for some wonderful hotels for the rest of your holiday.

Destination-wise, I'd recommend Koh Samui, Krabi, areas of Phuket, Hua Hin and Cha Am for beach resorts. If you want to do something a bit different, though, Chiang Mai is wonderful and the Chedi Hotel is absolutely fabulous.

Rainy season on the East Coast is from October to February, and on the West Coast it's from May to October. The best time weatherwise will be February to May.

Have a fantastic time - and make sure your travel agent mentions that you're on your honeymoon to the airline. They'll often give you champagne or even an upgrade!

Beautiful destination for a honeymoon. Koh Samui is stunning and there are some beautiful hotels like the six senses hideaway. or stay on Phuket, where the choices of hotels is amazing. from Dusit Laguna to the Banyan Tree if you want luxury or the six senses spa. what time of year are you thinking of going because that will make a difference to where you go. Some travel agents also have wedding funds for your guests to contribute towards your honeymoon rather than the traditional wedding gifts. Gold Medal are a great company to start looking with and can be booked through most travel agents.

Century Park Hotel in Bangkok is superb and is close to the Victory Monument and other tourist sites.

Cholchan Resort, Pattaya was fantastic although it's just outside the town of Pattaya - it cost about £1.50 for a taxi to the hotel from town.

June was superb. Nice and hot if a little humid with the occasional shower to let off steam!

PS - Visit The Grand Palaceand Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok. The River Kwai & Floating Markets and the Nong Nooch Gardens near Pattaya. Have a great honeymoon.

I wouldn't go to Bangkok as it is not a very romantic place. I can only speak for Koh Samui otherwise and I think it would be nice and romantic as long as you found a resort that wasn't right on Cheuwang Beach. Big Budha beach looks really nice so maybe a resort there. If you scuba dive then you may prefer Koh Toa as it would be very relaxing. Koh Samui isn't bad though. You can hangout on the beach at your resort or you can do a tour, get a massage, go shopping on Cheuwang beach.

I don't know the weather just that I went in August and it rained on and off.

Phuket is lovely , Amari Coral Beach Resort on Patong Beach is an excellent hotel, also go to Karon Beach (10 minutes away in a Tuk Tuk) it has a lovely beach.

The best time to travel is now, christmas time is the peak season, you'll find the hotels and flights more expensive.

Happy honeymoon

"Relaxing" honeymoon - away from the city for a change! I'll go for Phang Nga, the province just below Phuket. A destination of natural environment, many areas protected under their National Parks program. No modern highrise buildings allowed (limited to a maximum height of 3 storeys), no motorised sports (jet skis, para-sailing etc) allowed at the beach! Don't expect too much of modern day conveniences like big shopping malls or movie theatres here. It's got a real old world charm, quiet and tranquil.

Many resorts/hotels for different budgets here, some international ones too - Sofitel, Meridien etc. Tours/activities available - elephant/jungle trekking, canoeing through mangrove swamps and caves, snorkeling, diving.

And in case you miss the big city life and excitement, head to Phuket after that. It's about 2 hours' drive away from Phang Nga.

Enjoy, have fun, and happy honeymoon ;-)

Note: 'High season' from October till end of April of the following year, more tourists expected.

Krabi is a great resort area, Sheraton Hotel there is ideal for a honeymoon. Best time of year probably between November - May, out of the rainy season. Hotest in March/April/May, coolest December/January. Wettest (but still hot) in September/October.

I would say the best time to go is just after the wedding!.
But seriously, the best weather is November to April.
If relaxation is your ideal, then you are probably thinking of beaches, so I would suggest maybe one of the Thai islands.

The largest island Phuket, (pronounced pookette)has every facility, but doesn't really feel like an island. Lanta island is very secluded and relaxing.

Koh Chang away from the drunks and sex tourists. Lots of nice alcove beaches to explore or just relax on, hire a motorbike and see the island, it is divided into small regions, Still a few bars and restaurants to keep you entertained at night, until you get back to your room, you are on honeymoon after all.
