Yes, she had to pay the train fayre and a £10.00 fine.

The ticket office on the platform she boarded from was closed, but the main ticket office at the front of the station was open.

She claimed she thought she'd be able to buy a ticket on the train, but the train operating companies do not let you buy tickets on trains from staffed stations if the ticket office is still open.

So she got caught and fined and had to put it her credit card.

I for one do not think Mrs. Blair is guilty of manslaughter. It is just because Mrs. P.M. that the news came in papers. She did not shirk from paying the fine. I myself had on some occasions to face this and got out with the fine.

The British railway men should have an occasion to face the relations of our MPs and MLAs who travel on the free tickets available to the legislators.

I remember one incident when Barrister Mukundrao Jaykar, the Vice Chancellor or University of Pune once travelled to Mumbai(the Bombay) without a ticket as there was no time for him to buy one. The train was about to leave. He called the railway TC and offered to pay the fare but the latter insisted on a fine which Mr Jaykar refused saying that he had volunteered to inform his failure. The TC would not budge. Upon r eaching Bombay Mr; Jaikar purchased a ticket to Pune and tore it off in front of the TC to quiten his conscience.

Yes - that really did happen. Both she and her husband are real, 22-carat capitalists...

viz: They will do NOTHING for nothing - and always strive to get AS MUCH money as they can - as MANY ways as they can - for doing AS LITTLE as they can.
