Varies *widely* depending on area & vet. In the northeast it can cost anywhere from $75 - $350+ to neuter (being the less expensive) or spay your cat.
Call around. We do early spay/neuter with our kittens and I contacted the local humane society for the best person to do that. There are also many humane or government organizations that can also help with discounts.
Good that you do this - there are 10 Million cats & dogs euthanized each year because of overpopulation. Not only will you not be "part of the problem", you will have a happier, healthier cat.

a minimum of you're showing which you recognize there is not any such concern as a unfastened cat. Shelters and rescue communities have cats, and the adoption fee is lifelike, and would not even come close to to masking their costs. the variety is interior the community of $50-a hundred. you will prefer a well being verify up by way of a vet, for an assessment so there are no surprises, and any vaccinations. Distemper is often mandatory, and rabies if required by way of regulation. a typical preliminary verify up with vaccinations might nicely be yet another $a hundred, despite the fact that if costs variety very much even interior a small section. If spay or neuter is mandatory (sexually mature cats will generally already be fixed), yet kittens won't yet be fixed. that could run from $50-2 hundred, with women greater high priced. So extremely, considering nutrition is accomplished over an prolonged volume of time, it extremely is not a significant component. reckoning on your selection, that's as low as $a million according to day for a first rate high quality nutrition. clutter is likewise no longer that high priced. Toys might nicely be extremely elementary. A cardboard field will supply hours of play, to boot as wads of paper, or maybe shoelaces. bushy toy mice are much less high priced. So adoption and vet costs are the foremost costs that come abruptly. the different costs are opened up over an prolonged volume of time.

At the hospital I work at it is $85 for a neuter and for a spay it goes by age if it is under 2 yrs I think it was around $110 and if it is over 2 yrs it was about $120. These are under "normal" conditions. If the male is a cryptorchid, where one or both testes has not descended it will run you more. Also if your spaying your cat while she is in heat that will also tend to be more expensive.

it cost 43 dollars to get my cat spayed but if she would have been up to date with her shots it would have been 10 dollars it was 13 dollars for a shot that all kittens must have and then 10
dollars for the shot. So it was ten rally for male and female cat.
If I were you I check my cities anti-cruelty societies or the like and find out. They really want to help stop the over population of dog and cat in the city.
male cats can father over 100 kittens a year

It cost me about $55 dollars to get my female cat spayed. It also included a free rabies shot and a distemper shot that was $10. I went to a local shelter. Most shelters have a spay/neuter clinic.

My cats were $80.00 spay and $60.00 neuter. I also went to my local SPCA, and got a certificate towards the spay/neuter. It was $20.00 off of each animal. You can also go to the Humane Society for these certificates.

depends where you live and on the vet, the cost can really vary. You can sometimes find low cost spay/neuter clinics in your area. Also, maybe check with your local humane society or SPCA as they may be able to refer you to someone.

I had two cats fixed at the same time, one neutered one spayed. It cost me 125.00 total! I did not think this was a bad deal at all. Look for a country vet. City vets are way more expensive.

It usually costs between $150-$250.
But...some vets really believe in having your pet de-balled... so they will do the procedure for super cheap. Call around!
But make sure you investigate the place before taking your animal. I made an appointment for a Vet that said they would do it for $50, ,as soon as I pulled in, I pulled out. It looked like a slaughter house! Haha!
