Spooky, what do you mean you don't believe in soul? You are only a body?

Not an atheist, but I'd like to guess. I'm guessing that since a lot of the atheists I've seen on this board tend to be very science minded, that they'd explain life as electrical impulses in the brain that causes the body to move and breathe. There is no mystical energy force that lives on after death. Am I right?

good question my friend, how do u guys explain this. if no soul then we r just like any other living thing, without soul there is nothing that keeps s alive, we will b very dull people just like many atheist who try to believe in something that is impossible to evade, ur soul is the power source of your life, thats where all ur motives come

Atheists believe that there are no souls, and that we are just like the rest of the animals on this planet. And that we just become worm food after we die, we just cease to exist.
In reality... Atheists have the most proof compared to all religions.

Atheists don't really believe in souls, at least in the sense religious people do. Some of us believe we are made up of a combination of our social background and personality that resides in our brains, but it's mental and emotional not spiritual.

What soul? You mean that make believe ghost that lives in your body, that rises up and goes to heaven? No such thing. Your "soul" is your life force.
