Baldness, for the most part, is hereditary. But there are other factors that can contribute to hair loss though that you can try and fight against. One is too much heat syling your hair. Years of blowdrying and using curling irons and such will cause breakage over and over and cause permanent hair loss over a long time period. Also, wearing a hat can contribute to baldness by smothering the hair follicles, leading to premature balding. The old tale about brushing your hair 100 strokes a night is somewhat true. As we brush we are massaging the hair follicles, helping blood flow and arousing hair growth, helping to enrich the hair growth.

If you are going to be bald you have no way to control it. But wearing hats is bad on hair. Does your family have a history of baldness? If so maybe think about shaving your head as you lose your hair. Personally I think bald is sexy on some men.

Being bald rules. I have been bald since I was about 25, and it's wonderful.
Look how many women Fred Elliot had blubbing when he pegged it. (I know it was only Audrey and Bev, but I mean to say.... come on....)
It's done wonders for Gail Porter too. The first time in her life she's been remotely interesting.

Bald by shaver = Cool
Bald by genetics = Un-Cool
Why, cos the idiots who go bald try to hide it and hence make it uncool!
Do yourself a favour worry about more important things other than appearence! and bladdy enjoy your life

Nothing. It's Genetic. If your dad has it you may get it. I have. I'm 24 and have 2 patches seperated by a central "tuft". I shave it to a no.1 all over, so it's not too bad. I'm OK with it. You'll soon learn to accept it.
Never try to cover it up, comb-over's are so ugly.

Unfortunately you cannot prevent it - it is genetic.
Baldness looks fine as long as your don't try and do a comb-over. Just keep the hair short.
