God does not hold me accountable for the sins of my family. I am not held accountable for the sins of my ancestors or the sins of my children (unless I cause them to sin)

The sins of those that came before me do have affect on my life. For example, I grew up in an alcoholic home. This affects everything I do and say. It affects my actions. My sins are still my own, but growing up like that makes it hard to clearly view the paths in front without a deep relationship with God.

I am Christian and I am saved by grace. I am forgiven of all my sins when I truely bring it before God with a heart of repentance and a true heart for change.
God works in me to help me change my sinful behavior. The greatness of the sacrifice of Christ is that I can come before the throne and be forgiven.

You are accountable for your sins of course. As for your family I feel as a parent your responsibility lays in trying to teach right from wrong while they are young. Family environment is so important. So hopefully a good foundation is formed while growing up. That's not to say that kids do not go wrong even after that but you have if done your best the responsibility is on their shoulders. As for the folks before me --How can I go down for something I know nothing about. That is just not good thinking.

Christians are accountable for their sin. I am not responsible for anyone else's sin, as it was a choice for them to do it. But past sin does "run in the family". This is called a curse. And the sins we commit, will tend to be "visited" upon our children and so on. True Christians don't willfully sin. If we do, we repent, and go on.

My sins? What the heck have I done now that another mortal would judge me, I wonder? I suppose that I could start trading sins with family members, like baseball cards; but still it seems more sensible that We all are accountable for Our own actions. Living in the moment I'm in makes the sins of those that were seem rather irrelevant to my being now so I'd discount that right out of hand; it's somewhat of a fancy to my mind. So then, what I do I'll take responsiblity for, the deeds of another; no matter how close to me; are still theirs to atone for alone. So then, no; I should not be accountable for that; but yes; my own misdeeds are mine; and I accept them as my own. I hope this helps, Salaam Awako Shazdadi; may all your days be free from doubt.

I

no. when you accept Christ as your lord and saviour and are baptised into the body of Christ, all ties to past sins are severed, both yours and your forefathers.

with regard to repetitive sinning.
Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

we all sin whether we like it or not. while sin is sin, there is a difference in unintentional sinning and knowingly sinning. God's grace is there to forgive us when we sin, but we should not abuse His grace by continuing to sin intentionally eg. having continuous premarital sex, when you know that it is a sin. each time sin knowingly you are telling Christ that His suffering and ultimately His sacrifice was worthless to you.

Only for yours, not your parents. About Christian sinning, no, Christians don't have a license to sin. The bible says were is an abundance of sin there is an abundance of grace. Is this a license to sin? no God forbid, like our carnal father punish us when we transgress the same manner own heavenly father will punish us Christians for our transgressions.

We are accountable to God, but thank God Jesus paid the price for our sins at the cross. That's why Christians are soooo happy.
Glory Glory Glory. Hallelujah, Jesus Is Lord.

You are accountable for you own sins of course. As for the sins of your family - well, that depends whther you contributed to it. Sin affects the people around you - not only yourself. For example, If you are a thief, you are accountable for each and everytine you stole. And if your son observes you and copies you, you are also accountable for the bad example you gave him.

Is this on a spiritual or physical level you ask. Before the judgment seat of Christ each will answer for them self, but a parent is responsible for there child.
