your best bet is just to let her get her heart broken because from the sounds of things it is going to happen anyways, and even if it doesn't manage to happen here in this particular situation it is going to happen eventually so just be there for her when it does happen, talk to her about it and then after a certain ammount of time find a way to distract her from it by taking her out for a fun time, whatever it is she might enjoy doing, a comedy movie, take her and her friends roller skating or something, anyways I know heart break sucks, especially when it is your childs heart you have to watch get broken, hope everything turns out for the best

In every young woman's life there is the crush that could never be. It is a part of our maturation process emotionally. Let her know this. Help her to put it into a more adult context because she is obviously growing up and becoming a sexual person. She will need your guidance to not be overwhelmed by her encounters with men. How well she can deal with this will effect how well she handles future affairs. Talk to her about it a lot. She needs an outlet. Talk about class, privilege and popularity. Help her see that in every stage of life there will be people whose seems like their lives are so much more dazzling than our own (which is why we invented royalty and "stars"). The real test is finding a person you can love without all of the hype. Where is he? That's the point.

If the dude isn't giving her any attention, tell her there are other fish in the sea. She doesn't have to settle for just anyone and people do get over crushes.

I would just leave her alone. If he breaks her heart then she learned the hard way, but atleast she learned. Thats all that matters. My parents didn't like my boyfriend either and they told me to break it of with them, but I didn't care what they said because I loved my boyfriend. If you teel her to break it of with him and make her then it's just going to make things worse. It will just chase her right out a window. Good Luck!
