To God there is no time and He knows all things , so on one side predestination is a fact . On the other hand those of us who live in an uncertain life condition the possibilities are endless and thus the road cannot be seen. Ultimately God gave us the gift of free will and predestination is irrelevant.

No, I believe in procrastination - if something's not destined to happen today, leave it till tomorrow, as it might be destined then.
:o)
Seriously, I think predestination rather cheapens our lives, as it appears to make a mockery of the idea of free will, and turns us into nothing more than lab rats in the maze of some higher being. Which is not to say that that's not the truth, but it stings my pride to think in those terms, so I have a perpetual tendency to to reject predestination (based largely on ego, I admit) in favour of a "better" idea - which of course is to say one that allows me to feel we might have some genuine and unexpected impact on our world.
The only thing that necessarily supports my contention of our potential impact is the fact that the existence of a creator god has not been scientifically proven, so unless or until it is, I don't need to submit to the idea of predestination and continue in my anarchistic little groove. One of the eternal fascinating questions though. Thanks for that.

I have this weird way way of looking at it. I believe that our destination is like a road map and the final destination is predestinated but it is up to everyone to choose which roads to take to finally get there.

The main outlines of our lives may be predefined but as we have the right to choose we're responsible for our deeds.
What do you expect for the future? This is a difficult question to answer though we need to prepare for the final encounter.

Some things are pre-determined for example people who abuse their bodies with drugs etc. are destined to suffer the consequences later, however I believe that the more we break our attachments to materialist desires the more free will we have to determine our own lives and the less we are helpless victims of circumstance.

No. We are the masters of our own fate. God has given us the choice of how to live our lives. He has set down guidelines for us to follow. We must decide what we will do. However, if we make the wrong choice, we must suffer the consequences.

No, I don't. I believe God knows the future, but that we have free will. For example, if you and I were standing in a line at McDonald's, it's safe for me to say that you're going to buy something. Yet, my knowledge of this isn't infringing your free will to buy something there.
