it is all explained by the theory of ecological succesion.(allogenic succesion-changes occuring due to external factors eg climatic changes, natural diasasters etc which leads to extinction or incompatible habitat that forces living beings including people to migrate, autogenic succesion-due tochanges within the community eg poverty, population explotion, shortage of essential things leading to famine ,epidemics etc).various stages of succession are1.pioneer community(first life to habit that plaCE)2.seral stages(after destruction of pioneer community these new communities occupy the place)3.climax community(community which is stable ,but also subjected to above explained routine in course of time over ages)

"hereby a substantial portion of the earth's atmosphere along with the gases around it vanish in to the space"

yeah, that doesn't happen.

A large enough impact could cause earthquakes, tidal waves, and would cause so much dust in the atmosphere that the sun has a hard time reaching the planet. The last time this happened the dinosaurs were wiped out.

PRALAYA or PEYOTE? That is the question.

Please don't take this as criticism, it is meant to be an honest evaluation of the question.

I admire and respect the Indian Nations. I myself range from the Cherokee Nations.

I also agree with the respondent: "Have you ever thought about creative writing........Asimov would have a hard time competing with your imagination my friend!!!! ".

Peace.

There are discredited scientific theories that say this has happened. Also, you have to wonder why practically every major ancient civilisation has a flood story and a Noah/ark story.

Interesting idea. I'm not a scientist so I really have no idea, but it is an intreguing idea.
