Hi
If it is depression it would be recorded as depression, it will not affect anything to do with credit and checks as it means breaking the data protection act.
Also you can ask your GP to do the appointment on the clinical IT system as personal and so if people do have access to the it will not been seen on the system only as confidentiality and will not be accessed.
I know people who have been in the Priory for worst believe me who have passed the credit check .
Get help and get yourself back on track, its the least of your worries.
Good luck take care

Your medical report has no bearing on your credit rating. Organisations cannot access your medical record unless you (or a court) consent to it. In the case of mortgages + insurance, I'm not aware of depression causing you to be rejected - unless it was extremely severe.
If you were applying for a pilots licence medical, then the authorities might want to know more about it. Providing the depression was controlled, short term, and had no suicidal thoughts, then you'll be okay (unless they've changed the rules).

I have never heard that credit agencies can access your medical records. I suffer from depression, are receiving treatment, and no-one save the people that I have told knows about it.
I can not see that it will affect your rating.
I am not from USA, BUT ESPECIALLY in USA, your record with your GP should remain confidential.

Credit has nothing to do with your medical records.
If you apply for a credit card/mortgage etc, they will not look at your medical records.
THe only time anyone will look at your medical records is if you are apply for health/life insurance, and even then you wont be refused, you will prob just have to pay a higher premium

a medical condition is not a reason to be disquallifed for a mortgage, go speak to a doctor because the longer you wait the more depressed you will be. in the end you wont even think about buying a house as you will need to be in a hospital.

You need to get help with that depression, the fact that you are worrying about something which may or may not happen proves that.
Please go to see your GP.

It won't affect your credit rating, but it may effect life-insurance quotes, but only if it has prevented you to work. PLEASE GO TO THE DOCTOR. If you are considering it, then you need to. Do something about it, and don't worry.

This shouldn't affect it at all. When accessing medical files they are only looking for serious life threatening illnesses (HIV etc).
