I hope you are researching for a good fictional story Rensil d.
You have no chance of the wound not showing up on a body search so you need to have the operation a few days before. Even then, if it's a big jewel like the star of india you want it deep inside where suspicious security guards can't see a hard lump. If your character knew an unscrupulous surgeon he/she could get an aseptic, biologically inert bag sown into the inside of the wound and extending down into some convenient intramuscular space, a surgical staple machine, some tape and a professional looking wound dressing ready to slap into place might just be enough to divert suspicion provided your character was sure that no one would look at the wound until after he had removed the tape, popped the swag in the bag and stapled the edges together again then applied the dressing.
Getting rid of the stapler and old dressing might be a problem, getting the stapler and the new dressing in could be troublesome.
You might want to research some wound treatment compounds designed to slow the healing of wounds ( to reduce the probability of deep absesses forming under scar tissue for example).

I'd imagine it's possible... I'm guessing this is to smuggle something so it would have to be simple and just get the job done, so nothing fancy.
Enough pressure would stop the blood (blood loss is not your friend) and some... let's say Vodka to help with infection.
Voila!
A nice ghetto way of hiding small objects....
Ohh! And let's use tooth floss for the stitches!
But this begs the question.... Why?

putting tubes in the ear (BMT), 10 min case, 5 min room turn over. course part of that 10 min is the anesthesia.... think that takes longer than the Dr actually inserting the tubes.
