Nope. Unless the earplugs get dirty after awhile and it can lead to infection of your outer ear - or - if it gets too humid inside your ear due to perspiration and causing bacteria to multiply and again cause infection!

From a layman's view, I don't think so. I can't see any reason why this could damage the ear. All it does is block out noise, and keep bugs from getting into your ears.
