Hello the_advis... :)
I know there is a God..for He has set me free from my past sins..I stopped drinking, drugs, abuse, greed, swearing..overnite..can anyone else say that they have been able to do all the above in just 24 hours, by themselves..
I have lost nothing serving my Lord and Savior Jesus, for I am helping those in need..but what have you lost if the Bible is correct..
You spoke of: What if, after dying, all your ideas on religion was false? What if all these are just ways to give people hope?
If they are giving hope, I cannot see what is wrong in it..Everyone is looking for the Answer and Hope in their lives..are they not.. :)
But it is not just Hope they are sharing with others..it is Life Eternal..Amen!!
In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ.. :)

It is a fallacy. You have 4 identities. Above logic spirit existence that explains all the mystical in life. A logical mind body existence where the map of your life and body lives. The emotional energy body or heart body. Finally, the earth environment space suit or your physical body. Your older ancient bodies possess the earth space suit. When you drop the suit the other 3 identities carry on. You live forever in the higher dimensions right now and always. Only you may not have a body to wrap it in all the time. In fact you may never get another body unless the religions of the world are all stopped on this planet because human religion is destroying the world and no souls will have a home planet here soon if we don’t stop lying about everything.

Yes, it could be a fallacy. Maybe there is no afterlife. But what if there is an afterlife? What if there is a heaven and hell? And what if you ignored the God who could give you freedom from the consequences of what you've done that has displeased Him? Hmmm! Well we won't know until we are in the afterlife, will we?

Nothing.... its like a time between a mental blackout but for ever.
Though I've got a theory that you brain will dream for an undetermined amount of time after death (as long as its still intact) and since dreams do not follow the same rules of time reality does... the dream could seem like an eternity.
This theory is based on the fact that a brain will have stored energy for about 1 month after it dies. And as a self defense it tries to make sense that it just died by creating some kind of metal image to keep you from going insane.
Its similar to the effect that you mind can subconsciously go though all the events of you life trying to figure out how to save you from a near death situation. (life flashing in front of you eyes)

A humanitarian is just as capable of living a good life as any christian, muslim or whatever. Whether or not there is an afterlife is,like religion, a matter of faith. Faith being something that can niether be proved or disproved ,aven if you used to be an atheist.

Creatures have evolved a fear of death, this means they avoid danger and live long enough to pass on their genes.
Humans with the ability for abstract thought coupled with this fear of death mean that we are able to imagine up a notion of an afterlife with only vanity to convince those who believe in it that they are right.

If it turned out that all my thoughts on religion are wrong - I have lost nothing. I have lived a good life anyway.

And what if it's not? What if you die, wake up, and find a very large, very holy God asking you what you've done with yourself? I hope your ready to give Him an answer.
