The best way to remove nail polish from baby skin is warm water with a bit of washing up liquid in it the nail polish remover may be too harsh for his skin to take at all. with the carpet the same trick but with some cloves as these have some acid in them but aren't too harmful to the material as for his hair i would try shampoo first if that dosn't work you may have to cut it off.

I hope that helps

Son'll be ok. Carpet probably won't.
Use nail polish remover on skin, followed immediately by a water rinse (you want to minimize the ammt he absorbs through the skin.) You don't want to use the whole bottle on him, he's a small guy. Make sure you have good ventilation, so the 2 of you don't breathe the vapors too much.
For his hair, I would just cut it. You'll use up too much nail polish remover. The healthiest for him is to buzz-cut his hair.
The carpet will probably remain stained, especially if the color is light. You might need professionals to try and clean it. You may try paint thinner on that or acetone. Regular nail polish remover won't help it much.

No choice but to get the old nail polish remover out, I'm afraid. Hopefully, the carpet will not be damaged by the acetone or if it is, it's in a place where it can be covered by some well-placed furniture or a rug. The remover shouldn't hurt him but perhaps should be washed off as soon as possible after. He won't do it again in a hurry anyway.

He did well to get the lid off - my daughters' bottles are like they are welded shut!

Hi!

I had the exact same problem a few years ago.

So here goes:

Skin: nail polish remover.

In hair: I had to cut it out!

Carpet: Can never get rid of it. Mine was in a bathroom so I just covered it up with a bath mat. So, it depends where your carpet is. If it's in a reception room etc., then you may be able to claim on your home contents insurance if you have accidental cover.

Hope this helps!!

Don't rub his skin or it will hurt badly. Put some moisturising lotion on it to soften it and it will eentually wear off.

The carpet... depends on what it's made of but try nail polish remover (make sure it's not oily or it will just change the stain).

Nail varnish remover...If that fails to shift it from the carpet, you can buy neat acetone from the Chemist.

It will peel easily from skin but is a bugger to get off of clothes, I know I have tried.
