firstly, I'm not saying your insane. quite the contrary in fact, I just think the details and how it will actually work out is a bit different than you expect.

1) if you think jesus is "returning" how will you know its him? I've heard some say that there will be a vision, or something thats universal and it will be self-evident, wether people were believers or not before. if you believe this, whys it so hard to believe that this is how jews expected the messiah to come to begin with, and the fact that this didn't happen, is part of why jews don't belive in jesus?

2) do you expect some big movie-like magical effect of literally descending from heaven or whatnot? or being born into a body like a regular person... do you expect him to look like the paintings and sculptures? or would you accept him if he did not?

3) what if he "came back" but then became the king messiah that judaism has been waiting for since the get go?

(a bit more left adding immediately)

4) what if jesus accepted the assistance of non-christians? that is if in fighting evils, he allowed jews, or even witches, psychics... people familiar with metaphysics and psychic things, to help him?

please, TRY to avoid "all that crap is nonsense", "your insane" and "thats not how it will happen because..." type answers. really its pointless, and we've all heard it before.

lets just go with a "how would you react if somehow it happened like this..." scenario. use your imagination.

heck if those who don't belive in the whole jesus thing really want to answer, imagine it that what if the christians ended up being at least partially right, and some of the things they think, happened as I hypothosize, how would YOU as a (former?)non-believer, react?

Perhaps none of the options you offer are true and none of the explanations given by Christians are true. The explanations if taken metaphorically could be true.

The actions of every Human to follow the Golden Rule of "Treating other Humans the way they want to be treated," makes us all the ressurection of the spirit of Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Zoraster, Krishna, Ahmed, Ba'hullah, St. Francis of Assisi, Socrates, Pythagorus, Moses, Abraham, Imhotep, Lao Tse, Ogun, and any other prophet that has been incarnate in our material universe.

Perhaps how it works is that no dead person ever physically returns. The spiritual return is exemplified by our behavior to ourselves and others, in every realm of our life. If the Governments, Business corporations, Religious organizatons, Militaries, Doctors, Automechanics, Architects, etc are composed of individuals with the belief in the Golden Rule and acted in accordance with it then the resurrection of every prophet would be evident.

To wait for the corporeal return of a prophet for the purpose of cleaning a mess that they had no part, is selfish, foolish, lazy, and irresponsible.

The magic is realized through our behaviour. It seems that the recurring theme of not understanding the purpose of the appearance a prophet is as much misunderstood today as it was in days past.

Some Humans need something, anything to excuse the lack of responsibility of their actions. Believing in the "Big Event" of Hollywierd proportions leaves one open to being fooled. Humans are not being honest with themselves. You can never cheat an honest man. Humans are cheating themselves.

Being virteous to the best of our combined and individual abilities is the resurrection.

The Bible says that all the nations and tribes of the earth shall see Him coming in the clouds of Heaven with great power and glory.

The Bible talks about Jesus' coming both times, as a dieing savior and a reigning King. In some Bibles they put stars next to verses that talk about prophecies that Jesus has fulfilled(filled in stars) and prophecies that He will fill (outlined stars).

The Jews were under Roman occupation and looking for deliverance, they wanted a King to deliver them, not a carpenter as a savior.

No one but God knows how it will happen or when. In the bible it says in a twinkling of an eye, the Christians and the dead in Christ will rise and go be with him. This is what is refered to as the rapture.
I feel that if you live your life for the Lord and believe him none of this will matter. You will be in heaven with him.
As far as what he will look like, I am not sure of an exact description. The bible says that man was made in God's image so that is the best clue I can give.

The Teachings in the Bible are and ever have been spiritual in nature, including the description of the second coming of Christ. If one is waiting for a physical/material event, one will be waiting for eternity. The dark clouds refer to the spiritual darkness (e.g. wars, prejudice, hunger, extremes of wealth and poverty, etc.) humanity will be in when He returns. Many of us believe we are there and He has already returned ... 1844 to be precise ... Mt. Carmel, Haifa, Israel. It's all unfolding as the Messengers of the past have foretold ~ IF we see with a spiritual eye rather than a material eye.

I think if Jesus is real, then he could possibly be here now. He could have been here all this time watching everyone. If the End of Days prophecy is correct well all of the wicked should expect to die, even hypocrites. One can fix his mouth to say anything, but the proof is in the pudding. I hope this prophecy is true, because all of the hypocrites will surely get it then......

all of this hypothetical of course

He's not coming back in a physical way, it's a metaphor. The fact that it says that when all people look to one God, Jesus will return only refers to a way of life that will follow.

Woah man. And what if Jesus was born with wings and could shoot lazers out of his eyes? That'd be ****ing crazy! Or what if Jesus wasn't really pronounced at all like we were expecting it to be (geez-us) and was actually a man named Jesus (hey-Zeus) who worked at a winery picking grapes all day, and he has already lived out his entire life and nobody even noticed? I'd go on, but I think I've just blown my mind.

Christians call him Jesus. Muslims also believe in him and his miraculous birth and death (assention) . Muslims also believe that he is coming back.

"Jesus" as the christians know him IS COMING BACK and his name will be Essa - a prophet of Islam.

He will be preaching to the world that Islam is the right path.
