It is O.K. if this relationship was not very deep. You should do it the way you feel is better for you, and if you are shy a nice e-mail is a good idea, maybe you can stay in touch as frinds.

Are you really sure you want to do this? So many people fall out of love for the wrong reasons. All it takes is a different point of view and a little encouragement and everything may work out o.k. If not then move on. (boo hoo) Find out more about the person befor taking such big steps.

Depends on the person. I have a roommate that HATES confrontation and when she pisses me off, she doesn't ever talk about, just slips little notes under my door while I'm asleep, apologizing. This pisses me off, because I hate that she's being a coward and not apologizing face to face. However, whenever there were problems that we needed to talk about, she would always say she was too busy and put if off. When I asked my boyfriend what should I do, he said that I just might have to sink to her level. I out a note under her door like she always does, and she was more than happy to comply. It's stupid and it pisses me off, but some people are like that.

You can mail him telling that you want to meet him and have to talk.. he will get the hint. . then u can go in person and tell him.. if you both are shy so i guess it won't be a long date...
If you are not comfortable telling him in person then i guess it is ok to mail him.. it depends on what makes you comfortable and happy and also how close you guys are ... after all he expressed his feelings in mail only....

Its just not not ok, its also cowardly! Do it personally or would you like that someone breaks up with you over e-mail? no matter how shy you are! Have respect towards the guy!

Breaking up through email is the chicken way out. Also do important things in person face to face.

If it is only a month and you aren't very good at communication, then yes, break up on the net. If it was a longer relationship, I would say no, but in this case, yes.

I can tell you from experience that it sucks more for the other person because it's cold and unfriendly. Doing it face to face or at least over the phone would be more humane and respectful.

breaking up in a e-mail is just not right. the best way to break up is in person.
