I agree, it would be cruel to hold on to someone that you could not devote your time to

I dissagree. That's actually fairly rude, because you are making a decision for them, instead of asking them. If they object to you not being able to spend time with them, then let them break up with you. Plus, putting things in your life that suck up your time before people you care about is pretty shallow (no offense, just being honest).

If you really care about this person, and honestly can't spend time with them right now, sit down and talk with them about the situation. Decide together what to do, don't try to make the decision for them.

I disagree. That's just an excuse to push them away. Everyone has time or can schedule time to spend with the other person. Make time!

sure, its more than polite its respectful.

almost anytime a breakup is involved some one is going to feel hurt or be irrational. You should stick with you true feelings and not let anyone talk you out of it.

If you really wanted the relationship to work then you would make time but as you wont make time it is obvious that this relationship just isn't that important to you so yes you should finish it

Just because there is less physical attraction between the two of you, doesn't mean you should break up. Because that would just be lust, wouldn't it now. rethink your strategies and everything should be o.k.
