What makes you respects a person,
Some are only respected because of money, others are only respected because knowledge, what makes you respect a person?

Dignity, true piety, humility.
I respect a person who truly knows that although he is fluent in many languages and has a prestigeous name in the community, his fate is no different than that of the poor man selling beans and corn in the street.
We came from God and we will return to God. Alone. No name or money will help. Only our soul and what we fed it with while here on earth.
The person who knows this and applies it to his everyday life, is respected by me.

In this real world, we do respect others out of their status, out of fear etc. But the real respect has to be earned. Some tips:
1.Praise and honest appreciation, when the situation calls for it.
2.Call attention to people’s mistakes indirectly.
3.Talk about your own mistakes before criticizing the other person.
4.Ask questions instead of giving direct orders.
5.Let the other person save face.
6.Praise the slightest improvement and praise every improvement. Be “hearty in your approbation and lavish in your praise.”
7.Give the other person a fine reputation to live up to.
8.Use encouragement. Make the fault seem easy to correct.
9.Make the other person happy about doing the thing you suggest.

There are many traits I respect in men and women, but what I like the most are things like kindness, honesty and loyalty. I will respect any form of life that truly cares about others.

I believe respect is earned, I respect the Honestly and the Loyalty within another, I appreciate the wisdom of others, and their wealth of what is in their Heart, not their wallet.

well basically people are respected because they lnow how to repect other people. it doesnt matter if you got a lot of money, it doesnt even matter if you're a genius. what really matters is how well you treat others.
live by the golden rule...as simple as that.
