Hi there...most wounds should be treated by a vet as most likely will need a round of antibiotics to head off infection. Also please do not use hydrogen peroxide on the wound only soap and water. The problem with hydrogen peroxide and some other traditional debriding agents is that they also damage the healthy cells (keratinocytes and fibroblasts) that are needed for wound healing and inhibit their necessary migration into the damaged area Any vet can confirm this fact.

Bathing should be avoided at this time since the wound could become more infected from the contaminated/soiled water. Consider using baby wipes to clean your kitty.

AH! Get him to the vet as soon as you can. Most likely that wound got infected and if it is a bite it is possible for that to become an abscess which is not pretty lots of pus. Set him up an appointment so the vet can clean the wound and get him some meds. Hope all goes well with him.

part one the wound. You must clean it get help to hold him if you need to. If its a snake bite it will swell up really bad and will need drained a vet is best for that if its a dog bite(most likely). Keep it clean and dry or it will... get infected.
Part two smelly cat is a problem the feed store or pet supply have dry powder just for that but if you want the clean soapy smell. Hold him by the back of the neck cats never get to old to be held like mom used to. Dunk him under the tub water and soap fast rinse and repeat lol. He may not talk to you for a while but hell be smelling great. Have fun.

take your cat to the vet. if you dont want your cat to die, then take it to a vet. if you dont take it to a vet then go ahead and run over it with your car b/c it will probally die soon. a smelly open wound means infection. do not try to give your cat a bath. you will more than likely end up hurting it even more.

This wound could get infected very fast. Clean/wash it with hydrogen peroxide. Then you need to go to the vet for antibiotics. Your cat may have been in a cat fight.

mine did to a long time ago and i didnt know what it was from but the hair off of it will fall off and you should clean it up and take your cat and get a wet paper towel and sortof clean where it will get better but dont put your cat outside because it is healing and it should be gone by 3 weeks or more.

just see what it does frist then you should take it the vet and see what is.

Put some peroxide on it using q-tip or a cotton swab. Make sure it does not get infected. If you start to see signs that it may be infected, take him to the vet immediately.
