We have one but I don't use it much. (I am saying sorry now that this answer is sooooo long. I started short but keep adding to it lol. Ok what can I say you asked for suggestions and well I am really really good at suggesting them. It makes my husband crazy so again sorry lol)

I have a pan that has raised lines in it that gives meat that grilled look. It also lets the excess juices drip away from the meat.

Have you tried marinating the steaks before cooking them? Also I have a flavor injector that I use to inject marinade into the meat before I cook it. Some marinades are real easy to make. Example for chicken I use a orange juice and pineapple juice. Last night I used a bottled sauce on part of pork chops and pineapple juice on the other ones. Our pork chops were so tender you could use a fork to cut them and they were thick pork chops. ( lol I know you are talking about steak but by letting the meat seat in the marinade it makes it really tender)

Also I sometimes use a honey & barbecue rub on one side of the meat. I then let it set in the fridge at least 30 minutes so the rub can soak in. I then turn meat over and put rub & honey on other side. I sometimes do this several times over several hours. Yes it will get really sticky but it has the best taste without all the drippy sauce going everywhere. And since the meat has seat in this for so long the flavor gets all the way through the meat.

What I am trying for tonight's meal is injecting & marinating a pork roast with a water, minced garlic, and minced horseradish mixture. The meat has been sitting over night. I will slowly bake it today for several hours so the meat is falling apart when I serve it.

Suggestions on cooking it. - It depends on how done you want your meat to be. I try to cook meat (steak, chicken, pork) until the juices come out clear on both sides. When the juices start coming up clear on one side then I flip it over then I watch for juices to start to come out clear on that side also.

Some times when I am actually using our charcoal grill and I can't tell if the meat is completely cooked (this happens because I am grilling after the sun has gone down) but I know it is mostly cooked. I put the meat in the microwave for about one minute. It will still come out juicy and will brown up any pink still on the inside of the meat.

Good luck and happy grilling no matter what method you use. OK I'm stopping now but if you want more marinate suggestions from me then email me. I have got more.

It's excellent when used and cleaned properly. I have had mine for 10 years now. Here's some tips.I found that the cooking times on the chart are too long and dry out meat. Purchase a food thermometer at your grocery store and cook beef at 140-160. Chicken at 160. I found by shortening time table by 2 min really made a big difference. Steaks and Chicken breasts were tender and juicy. It's worth the money! As far as clean up, when done cooking unplug and pour a little water on grill and wipe with paper towel. If you forget just reheat grill for a min and place wet paper towel on grill, close lid for a min and wipe. Careful it's not too hot.

YES AND NO

Yes it is a great grill....Cooks off all the fat and drains it
Great for cooking veggies and potatoes ect...
Wonderful for hamburgers

Steaks......well....I believe a steak MUST be treated with respect. You know, like a fine good woman. Never to be rushed, accepted for the beauty inside as well as outside.
A steak should be cooked over a flame...never a Foreman Grill. Yes it works but that is like taking your wife to some lame resturant insted of somewhere fancy. LIke the difference between White Castle and Chez Bude's

All the best,

Eddie

There brilliant!
The George Foreman grill that was given to us as a wedding present four years ago is still going strong.
Its really easy to use, cooks steaks brilliantly and pretty much anything else you could grill or fry.
Also there really easy to clean as well.
I would certainly recommend buying one.

I am a steak-fanatic and OBSESSED with my Foreman grill. I'm an impatient cooker and would rather use a microwave to make scrambled eggs. The Foreman is fast and efficient and easy to clean.

I bought one about 6 months ago and used it once...it takes a lot of cleaning and seemed to take ages to cook anything even a sausage......Stick with the grill and just keep trying different marinades etc
