if u mean a bride should know her bridegroom....then i think yes..

It is best to have alittle knowledge about each other and after all marriage is based on alot of feelings and emotions.....

If there is misunderstandings then this creates alot of problems....especially when other people start to interfere.

First impressions and the short time together can be the back bone to a long lasting marriage...

I hpe this helps

Good luck if u r getting married...

I think you are refering to the biblical meaning of know which means to have carnal knowledge of the prospective spouse. If that is indeed the case then by all means yes, you do not buy a car without taking it out for a test drive so why should you marry someone without that initial test ride?

According to social surveys marriage is all the way out, so why not just live with a person and find out if you can survive the trials and tribulations of marriage.

Another recent survey has shown that the leading cause of divorce in 100% of all cases is marriage.

umm...what? if you mean.."does a bride need to know her groom before marrying" then the answer is YES. i think that anyone that is forced into marriage without knowing the other person is a real crying shame. but i also know that in some cultures that is how the way people do it and there is nothing that I can do about it. thank god i knew my husband for 2 and 1/2 years before we got married.

Of course yes. You can not get married to someone who you do not know and how will the relationship grow to be a long one if either of the partner or neither of the partner do not know each other before marriage. I would even go to an extent of making it a rule knowing each other first for a few years before even thinking of getting married.

No. I have several friends that have arranged marriages. They met their husbands about a week before. They have wonderful relationships and good solid marriages. They seem to genuinely be happy.

I married very young and know that I am more in love with my husband now then I was when we got married. I believe that true love follows after years of being together. What gets people together and gets them married is infatuation.

I can say this is very foolish question. In reality 80% of couples were not able to mate on first night. Does it means that they should cancel Valima party. there are dozens of reasons for not mating on first night could be girl's problem too. Marriage is the name of life long relationship not based on first night. There is no relation between intercouse and valima as far as i know.

It would be profitable. But I hear in muslim countries love comes after the marriage, so you will get to know him better later. However it is 100% better to know who you are going to spend your life with, but as we all know people are deceitful and tend to lie. "Until death do us part" seems like just a few words people speak so they can cash in the money. Does the word of a person mean nothing anymore? It is pathetic what people have done to this sacred bond.

I have a problem with the gender in this too! But I guess it is 'live and let live' The worst part about being the 'best man' is not being able to prove it!
