Seriously, I can see this coming before the supreme court one day. In ancient times, being selected for sacrifice was a great honor, and you're family would be pretty well off since they would be given special treatment from the community. So a person use to be willing to go to their death in the name of God.

I can see this as a legitimate argument before the Supreme Court where a person is challenging the legal establishment saying that by offering up his life to God, it's his act of worship and protected under the constitution. I can't predict if it'll win, but I can see the validity of the point.
