Okay - you have plenty of money it just takes a bit of work thats all and I do not mean physical work!
get to your local show kitchen stores and find out which ones are being discointnued for the new season..... you can buy them cheaper or the ex display ones which have usually only been up for 6 - 8 weeks at a time. Also buy bits sepratly like a sink/basin will cost you usual price shop on ebay where you will get a better quiality one cheaper. Check sizing although most fitters will sort this out and sinks are usually the same size. You need to be vigilant and make sure before starting to look at this kitchen you know excatly what you need, as regards to storage a tall cupboard for a hoover or mop etc. It is also worth asking a comp0any to come by and give you a quote as they will print you out possible designs you can then use this for you own ideas and sizing. It is worth asking these people into your hom,e they are a pain and want you to buy but just say NO or when they arrive make it clear you have to go out in 2 hours time so they have to leave!!
You WILL find a kitchen at your price range as my mum, has just done it, the best thing is to ask around and do not worry about inviting people to look and give you quotes or saying NO to them.
Good luck

I went to B&Q and then I waited for the New Year sales as they had a further discount. I spent £1400 on my kitchen which included the sink, taps, electric cooker, extractor fan and gas hob.
I purchased the Maple Modern design but went for different cupboard handles and a granite effect top. I have a large kitchen which is 4m by 4m square. I had the kitchen running down 2 of the walls. To save more money I ripped out the existing kitchen myself and got someone else to fit it instead of B&Q (they can take out the existing kitchen and dispose of it as well as fitting the new one if you pay them for it but this costs a lot more).
Or what you could do is just change the draws and the cupboard doors, sink and unit tops.

Try IKEA. If you go to their website you can download the Kitchen planner and draw up your kitchen and put in all the appliances. Get an estimate from them and then try to talk the price down. Don't forget to leave some money for the installation if you can't do that yourself.
Another way would be to get offers from kitchen installers. Just tell them your budget and make them give you an offer.

This makes me so angry. Someone has already made the point that anyone claiming benefit probably gets a lot less than what this woman has spent on taxis. I wonder if I could justify getting a taxi everywhere? If I knew anyone that was doing a bit of work on the side whilst claiming benefit I would certainly keep it to myself, not only because I don' t believe in telling tales on my fellow man, but seeing what these people get away with, why should we bother?

Check out Magnet or Ikea during the sale. If you can wait until the Christmas sale period, you'll snap up a bargain. Magnet especially have some fantastic options and are amazingly good quality for the price. I bought mine from them and had it fitted by their fitters for less than £4000.

I got my lovely birch kitchen from ikea. It was one available from stock so we ordered it and then picked up all the parts from the warehouse an hour later. We live quite a distance from ikea and to be honest I was dreading missing parts etc. It was so easy to put together......and 4 years later still looks like the day I bought it. No problems whatsoever! I wouldn't go anywhere else! I was very impressed!

check out B&Q (they offer a fitting service to)
buy cheaper units and then spend a lot of money on the work serface, the door handles and the tiles.
The accessorises are what makes any room particularly a kitchen look designer.
