I was talking with a friend once, and he told me that (I forget exactly how this came up in the conversation) once you lose your virginity, you'll realize how completely pointless it is, since your first time is probably going to be something of a letdown from what you've been imagining your whole adolescent life.

If this is true, why is every aspect of society trying to tell you that you're absolutely worthless if you haven't been laid yet? Does sex mean something profound (aside from how incredibly fun it is) or nothing at all?

I'm a GUY, by the way, who for whatever reason is finding it impossible to attract women (possibly because I'm not just out looking for a guick f*ck).

It depends on how much importance you put on it. Yes, the first time is memorable, but it gets MUCH better with experience.

It seems like a milestone at the time. Further down the road, in retrospect, it isn't really a big deal.

Try out enough women and you will find that most of them are very boring and lack imagination in bed.

edit:
I'm with you on not looking for the cheap screw. I remember a time when I really enjoyed being single and on the prowl; the things I remember most involved the peripheral stuff and not the physical part. On the flip side, if she's willing and able you don't want to be kicking yourself for not giving her what she wants. A tricky subject in any event...

Your friend is a Genius. But this question will attract the fat the ugly the repressed and the religious like flies to a turd. The FACTS are unless you want the leftovers or to spend your life with a guy who cannot or will not satisfy you due to size attitude aptitiude..then put some out xx and get some excitement in your life and FUN

it depends with whom you lost it.. and your personal values.. I think if it really means a lot to you, you 'll be waiting for that special night and special person to share it with. If it does not, then who cares if you given it to anybody you know? However, we should always remeber, it is making love, not just pure sex. Remebering that will guide you on what to feel about losing it and when to do it.

Tjhe reason people who have not been laid yet are worthless is because they failed where everyone else succeeded. Sex is simply something that has to be done.
