this girl i am friends with lived near me then moved and we kept in touch and i'v liked her for 6 years and i think it is time to ask her out even though it is long distance
but my question is should i ask her for her phone number insted of adress and e-mail before i ask her out? couse i'v been talking to her on aim and email

Dude if you really like her and she likes you then GO FOR IT. let nothing get in the way. sometimes finding the right girl takes a lot of effort. ask yourself, is she worth it? if the answer is yes the GO FOR IT!!!

How would you go out, and how far away is she? Is this worth pursuing. You don't ever ask someone out by writing, e-mail or message.
