start, run, type "msconfig" without quotes, go to last tab, unclick the program you don't want running at startup

MS config as mentioned as mentioned by Julius is the most straightforward way to go, there may even be an option in the "Preferences" or "Options" section which will allow you to turn it's start up routine off at start up.

Personally I dislike Kodaks bundles software and would suggest Irfan for viewing and basic manipulation

By the way these are both free, just don't get Adobe Photoshop starter edition unless you like being sold stuff every 30 seconds.

So get rid of Kodak and try one of the others.

Or for more enthusiastic photo and image manipulation the Gimp has more tools than the entire Chinese workforce.

Winpatrol is a handy utility that tracks cookies on your pc and stops unwanted changes to your startup folder. Its free and safe. The programs are still available from the Start menu, it doesn't remove them.
