Well, to attack N' Korea is stupid! We don't have the troops! We use a nuke, and China will use one!
During the Korean war 33,741 died and 1.7 million military were in the Far East and another 4.5 Million around the world! . We currently have a military of 1.2 million with 150,000 in Iraq!
Who is going to fight N Korea for us? The UN!!
Not after what we did in iraq!
And someone else on her is correct, the N Korean Army is no Iraq Army. They are at least as good as we are and probably better since almost all of them have a black belt!

I doubt it. N. Korea understands the concept of complete destruction. But it is going to be good for high tech arms sales in the area. Because other countries understand the best defense against a rouge missile attack is a small Pearl Harbor if comes to that. As far as invading N. Korea goes, what with? On the ground no. Everything we have is tied down or being rebuilt. We could always say the Hell with it and let one nuclear sub destroy the country.

Uff, I really hope that we don't go to war with N Korea. They have over a million troops and the only way to attack them would be multi-laterally. This reminds me of the time the UN sent inspectors into Iraq because they had "WMD". I just hope nobody invented the nuclear testing deal because I trusted Bush but he took us to invade Iraq. I bet you many are saying or thinking that if it hadn't been for Iraq, we'd be ready for N Korea. I'm not saying this is a lie but you might wonder that before we were so convinced but now that we have this it changes. The problem is that N Korea is communist and since the government controls everything, we haven't seen any live images proving this. And remember that we have to recover our dignity; we attacked uni-laterally and betrayed the organization Pres Wilson created, the UN. But I don't want to attack Bush or defend Bush, I just hope this time for his sake and what pride he has left over, the nuclear tests existed. Now, we have to pray not to fight N Korea. I'm not blaming anybody for this because we have to remember what happened in Cuba during the missile crisis. We must be careful and not fall in the trap and unite to get rid of this communist threat!!

The US is not going to bomb North Korea. First of all with around 20,000 US troops in the demilitarized zone, some quite powerful neighbors that the US doesn't want to aggravate and the bulk of the US forward forces tied up in Iraq I see it as not only highly unlikely but stupid if they did.
Seoul is only 50km from the border with North Korea, China doesn't want to deal with millions of refugees and Russia is only 130 km from the last nuclear test and also doesn't want refugee inflows. Not to mention if you bomb North Korea that is all out war and over 100,000 people die within just a few days and who knows how many more with chemical and biological weapon usage by North Korea.

We are fairly unlikely to go to war with North Korea. For one thing, we really don't have the resources for any kind of protracted military action against a country with an army of this size. For another, it would endanger South Korea too much.
We are more likely to pursue some sort of regional strategy of sanctions along with UN sanctions.
If we take any military action it could come in the form of an air attack against specific military targets, but I think this also would be very unlikely, given the relationships between North Korea, Russia and China.
We would not be likely to provoke Russia and China, and any military action against North Korea could have that result.

North Korea has used displays of its military to try to exert political pressure in the past and this may well be what they are doing now.
I would consider it highly unlikely that a new war will break out over the testing.

No. Corrective measure for a test would be more sanctions.
His Stern warnings were if Missiles or WMD were found being shipped to forces hostile to the USA.
Even if that happened wouldn't the prudent retaliation be to fly a cruise missile into Jongs bedroom window?
