Surely you cook both types of bacon-I bought some from Tescos and didn't get what the difference is.

One is short tempered and not so good in social situations. Cooking bacon however, is often described as the life and soul of the party.

Cooking bacon is the name to dress up the rather messy pieces of bacon. Its just the same as smoked or unsmoked, but came out of the slicer as "non rashers" either wafer thin or extra thick chunks so could not be packaged and sold as nice back bacon. Nothing wrong with it except it does not look so good next to your eggs!!

Cooking bacon is straight from the pig, not smoked or cured in any way. It is usually cut thicker but not always.
