Texas isn't the only state with that regulation to be on the books. There are approximately 13 states from Pennsylvania to Georgia that have that regulation. in certainty that's by no skill enforced and every time one is contested interior the courts it disappears. that's largely a rely of time that each is formally taken of the books.

You have got to be kidding! Why should an atheist be seen as any less trustworthy or moral than anyone else?
And, just for the benefit of Snuggels, if the God Squad are more moral than us atheists, what the hell happened with Bill Clinton?
Personally I think to decide whether or not to elect someone to office based on their religion rather than their ability is discrimination.

So, if I worship Satan can I hold public office?Or is it only if you're a Christian? Why not ban all religions except Christianity?Oh hell, why not go to some countries in the Middle East and learn how to run a theocracy. That way you can come back here and turn this country into the strongest and wealthiest third world country.

No...ever heard of the seperation of church and state??
I wonder how many Atheists are already holding office, but just pretend to be Christian because it is easier.
The more people are educated the less they are religious.

DEFINITELY! We need politicians who are afraid that they will be held accountable for their actions on judgement day if they do anything terrible. Like George W. Bush--at least he knows he's going to hell. An atheist would have no clue!

nope, we are not a religious based state. Ever heard of seperation of church and state????
The sad truth is that atheists do not get elected anyway
SNUGGLES (answr below)..you are a moron, I am tired of reading your garbage posts. Just because someone is an atheist, that doesn't make them immoral. Why don't you go lock yourself in your room and spend the rest of your life reading the Bible.

Politics and Religion, Church and state, the old but true statement, they don't mix. Trying to force their Religious beliefs on the public is just as bad as trying to force non-beliefs.

No, that's like telling athiests that they're not actually considered to be equal to those who hold religious beliefs.
