Why do people thank God when they won a game or battle?Do they think God helped them win?Does God care which football team wins or which country managed to kill enough of it's enemy's to force a surrender?And for that matter, why do people pray to God that they win?Does God take sides?So which team does God got his money down on this season?

Didn't someone ask this question last week or the week before?
In the future, watch for the people who thank God when they don't win the game. They ARE there. You just don't notice. Maybe they thank God that they live a life that millions of young people would like to be living and they were allowed of God to play. They make millions of dollars doing it too. There was this Christian football star on the Eagles' team and when he died he left more than half of his money to charity to help the poor of this world.
That's plenty to thank God for.

God's money is on the Colts! haha just joking, I think he just likes his children to have fun and rewards hard work and right living (or righteousness). Sometimes it's easy to see which side God is on, and other times it seems that He is more on the side of individuals on either side... It is an individual thing when a person decides to allow God to come into their life and sometimes they may find themselves in the middle of something that is against God and then they have to struggle with either staying within that and causing change or getting out and away from it before it crashes and burns. But ultimately, God is on the side of those who believe in his only begotten son Jesus and the truth of the story around Him, and anyone who professes to be a seeker of truth has to acknowledge that or remain in darkness.

As long as the game is pure,then God is in it.For example,games that involve skill,or strength.
For battles,yes God can take sides,because there are wars which have supernatural forces at the center of them.
Like any war that would affect Israel,because of his convenant with israel,then know that Gods powers will be in that war.

Indeed, every sides war has side effects to both sides playing any blame game of law, which inducts all players into a hall of shame, not fame. Grace is not about winners and losers, but about winners all, losers none, which is to say Grace 1 Law 0.
Sadly the God many thank is the law law God on high in plural divided heavens, where it's endless law law: division and not peace; our killing is better than your killing, our sacrifice is better than your sacrifice. This is a deadly game of law imputed sin; And sin, when "it is finished", brings forth death to all players thereof this blame game: to them all of them vs them who oppose themselves. Their end shall be according to their works. Their end: not suffered to continue (the human race) by reason of death. Their end: these all died and received not the promise.
Above such law law is the God of all grace, who never desired sacrifice for sin nor ever took pleasure in watching such law law.

A friend told me that he met an atheist on board a passenger ship during world war 2.You know what they disussed ;religion.Some time later the ship came under attack and the passengers ran helter skeler and panicked.However the ship was spared any casualties and reached shore unharmed.My friend was disembarking when he ran iinto the atheist who said "thank God we are safe".My friend nearly dropped his baggage and said "thank who?!"

Easterbunny, Yes, God cares about all the aspects of your life. He cares if you are hurting and he cares when you feel alone. He is waiting for you to come to Him.........God is waiting with open arms if you will just open your heart...that is all you need to do...call upon the Lord and thou shall be saved.
