Why just Indians, the whole World can live in peace if they realize that we have a common Creator, who has made us, nourishes us and is watching over us. He is the Artist and we all of us (the creatures) are his artwork. If you love Rembrandt, you can not destroy his paintings while pretending to love him. In the case of the Almighty, he can exact a price for our wrong doing.

Once that basic realization is made, it is not possible for any religious person from any religion to attack or hurt a person from any other faith, nation, race, gender or what have you. Even animals would be protected, as animals are created by the Creator for a purpose. In the case of animals it is clear some animals are created to be food for other animals in the larger system of life. Even when one has to take life for food, it is important that such activity take place without scaring the animal and with minimal pain or suffering.

In the case of human beings killing is allowed at least in Islam against those who wish to kill you. Killing is allowed in self defence. If one of the two people must die, it is better the aggressor die than the innocent victim. So, again there is sound logic if you follow the basic precepts of most faiths.

There are aggressors and abusers in all faiths. The generic laws are to defend against aggressors. If a Muslim man attacks you without provocation, you have the full right to attack him back.
If a Hindu or Sikh man attacks you, the same rule applies.

The Prophet of Islam said that no innocent person from any faith need to fear a True Muslim, as he would not do wrong to them. Thus if Muslims do wrong to others unjustly, it is their faith that is flawed not Islam.

In a nut shell, the clear solution to peace is the belief in a common Creator for all nations who is watching us all.

I hope this makes sense.

As pointed out earlier by one of the respondents, Indians used to live in peace and harmony untiil the British came and used the "divide & conquer" tactics to rule the Indian vast land. Similar tactics is used by the Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan now.

The only way to unite them is to bring all the 1 billion Indian to the true path of not worshipping idols and deities. Bring them to monetheism. Indians should embraced either true Islamic or Christian teachings.... Once the indians are ither Christian or Muslims they should be holding a civilised discussion on which one religion is the right path according to their respective theological theories.

With God's will the Indian society will be in better shape.

What ever the religion participating in the violence, verify there will be only person started and influenced all the others.

Ireespictive of the relegion people are innocent. The leader / the person behind make them cruel.

especially in India even politicians too participate in relegion violence.

So there should be a president rule in India, all the leaders who encourages the violance should be shot dead. Then you can see the peaceful India.

Why only for India?the only country where the Hindus are in majority, yet opted for secularism.
If only Chrisrianity and Islam stop wooing others to their fold will everyone live in peace.
India is the only country where Christians and Muslims are not at loggerheads for which one must thank them.
Hindus are peace loving people. They should not be stretched too far,.Thank you..

It isn't due to lack of any formula that communal divisions and tensions exist.
Don't we see blood sheds in countries where a single religion makes up the huge majority of population? For eg.Pakistan, Iraq.
Until and unless human beings learn to respect others and their beliefs, these problem will remain.

Everyone should treat religion as a personal asset. Do not make it public, it becomes communalism.

It is as personal as your towel is. Have you ever discussed your towel with anyone? No.

No religion teaches hatred but still we hate other religions. Why, because we make ours 'public'.
